 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1)  WHAT AGES DO YOU TEACH?

Ages 6 and up.

2)  WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO A LESSON?

Bring in your instrument, binder/tab book, and ipod/CD or even just a name or two of the
bands/singers/artists that you listen to so we can start working on your favorite styles!

3)  WHAT ARE THE LESSONS LIKE?

The lessons are either 1/2 hour or a full hour and are custom tailored for the individual student.

Typically, the first half of the lesson is technical (Tuning, Chords, Tabs, Scales, Technical progress,
Sight reading) and the second half is working on the individual students projects, the styles that the
student likes to listen to (anything from Mozart, Led Zeppelin, Bon Iver, Taylor Swift to Jay Z) the
wants of the student is a powerful motivator for practice.  We wil move towards learning songs,
developing ideas, ear training, dissection of songs and arrangement, and overall musicianship.

If a beginning student walks in and just wants to learn the intro to a particular song, we will
immediately start learning the song either exactly how the original artist plays it, or we arrange
an easy version to get the student started!

If a student walks in and wants to learn everything and anything, we also have a structured and
proven learning curriculum, method, and process that takes the student from the basic rudiments
of GUITAR, UKULELE, or BASS to intermediate all the way to professional levels.
