    How Online Lessons Work

Lessons are conducted live online from the comfort of your home.

    • A guitar
    • A computer, tablet, or smartphone
    • Internet access
    • A desire to learn and improve

    During lessons we can:

    • Work one-on-one in real time
    • Share lesson materials and exercises
    • Review songs and assignments
    • Answer questions immediately
    • Track progress and goals

    My Teaching Approach

No two students learn in exactly the same way.

Some students want structure and step-by-step progression. Others want to learn specific songs, improve improvisation, write music, or develop performance skills.

I build lessons around your goals rather than forcing everyone into the same system.

    My focus is helping students:

    • Build confidence
    • Stay motivated
    • Develop real musical skills
    • Avoid frustration and wasted time
    • Enjoy learning

               FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
              1)  WHAT AGES DO YOU TEACH?

Ages 6 and up. *Unless have a potential student who is eager to learn at a younger than 6 age.

              2)  WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO A LESSON?

Bring in your instrument, and *IMPORTANT- A THREE RING BINDER with at least 40 PLASTIC PAGE INSERTS for loose leaf papers for customizing the lesson to the students tastes and favorite artists and styles!

              3)  WHAT ARE THE LESSONS LIKE?

The lessons are either 1/2 hour or a full hour and are custom tailored for the individual student.

If a beginning student walks in and just wants to learn the intro to a particular song, we will
immediately start learning the song either exactly how the original artist plays it, or we arrange
an easy version to get the student started

Typically, the first half of the lesson is technical (Tuning, Rudiments, Chords, Tabs, Scales, Technique,
Sight reading, etc.) and the second half is working on the individual students songs, that the
student likes to listen to (anything popular from Video game themes, to fun Youtube stuff to Mozart,                                                                                                        Led Zeppelin, Bon Iver, Taylor Swift to Jay Z. the wants of the student is a powerful motivator for practice.                                                                                                We will move towards learning songs, developing ideas, ear training, dissection of songs and arrangement,                                                                                              and overall love for music and their chosen instrument.

If a student walks in and wants to learn everything and anything, we also have a structured and
proven learning curriculum, method, and process that takes the student from the basic rudiments
of GUITAR, UKULELE, or BASS to intermediate all the way to professional levels.
